Atomic Arts develop and deliver residency programs that create outstanding artistic and learning experiences for  young people of all backgrounds.

 

PRE-K RESIDENCY PROGRAMS

Atomic Arts has specifically tailored programs to meet the creative potential of toddlers ages 2 to 5. Sessions will provide students with the opportunity to explore and learn a diverse range of storybook classics such as The Three Little Pigs, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Ugly Duckling, Rapunzel, and more. Students will also create and bring to life a myriad of puppetry styles including stick puppets, hand puppets, shadow puppets, parade puppets along with sensory experiences.

PUPPET BUILDING RESIDENCy

Working with students in Elementary, Middle School and High School to deliver a hands-on puppet-making workshop, giving practical experience and insight into puppet construction and manipulation.

ANIMATION RESIDENCY

Students in grades Elementary, Middle School and High School have the opportunity to learn the basics of stop-motion animation. Students will learn how to use animation software, built their own puppets and sets, and are introduced to animation concepts like placement, framing, direction, and speed, culminating in the participants creating their own short film. The example video is the product of a 4-hour workshop.
